Sconefest started out as a small get together of a few innocent high school students and has blossomed into a source of inspiration and joy for hundreds. Sconefest includes but is not limited to the following: scones, homemade ice cream, root beer and fun.

The first Sconefest occurred in 1995 in the small community of South Jordan, Utah. 9 people were in attendence. The festivities included scones, homemade ice cream and basketball.

The Sconefest II took place in the fall of 1995. It is estimated that 100 people were in attendence. Besides scones and homemade ice cream, the glow-in-the-dark football was introduced and became an instant crowd favorite. The stage was set. The future of Sconefest had no limits.

Sconefest III ushered in the end of an era. As high school friends said good bye and parted ways, the summer of '96 ended with scones, homemade ice cream, glow-in-the-dark football and a failed attempt at homemade rootbeer. Once again, an estimated 100 people were in attendence.

After much hype, t-shirts and a web page, Sconefest returned in August of 1999 following a three-year hiatus with Sconefest IV. The scones, homemade ice cream and homemade rootbeer served as segway for unforgettable moments. The Sconefest Committee was officially formed. Fierce competition and jovial comradery arose in the hand-in-the-bucket-of-ice game. Doug Worthington favored us with two heart-warming renditions (English & Spanish) of "Choppin' Brocoli." Dave pulled out the guitar and pondered what life would be like if he had a million dollars. Fatty Matt was shaved to the toons of "Crazy Love" by Aaron Neville.

Sconefest V: Idaho's Revenge was, at the time, the most attended Sconefest. An estimated 150 people attended. It was a huge success with five batches of scones, three machines of homemade ice cream, 10 gallons of homemade root beer, 28 t-shirts and 32 CDs.

Sconefest 6: The Sixth Sconefest was a throwback to days gone by of good old backyard Sconefests. About 70 people from all over the world (U.S.A, Canada, Vietnam, Guinea) were in attendence.

Sconefest 7: The Sconefest of Highly Effective People shattered all records in the fields of attendence, shirt and CD sales, scones, rootbeer and overall enjoyment. Held March 24 in Provo, Utah, this event saw the triumphant return of the "The Originals" to Sconefest. Eight out the original 9 Sconefesters were in attendence; many received a standing ovation upon their arrival. At the end of the night, it could be said "A good time was had by all."
